hokei and premeiere are right...with the vacume disconect disconected and the t case in 4wd all the power goes to the unlocked shaft...i teste it in mine after i switched to a 1354m and wired up my vacume switch

I know thats why in the earlier part of the sentence I said there would still be power going to the front.

The question is if he will have 2wd low to a certian extent with the front vacuum not engaged and an open diff. In theory most the power would go to the disconnected shaft and it would just spin inside the diff/axle tube and not engage the driver side wheel. But I dunno?

Yep.. it would go to the open side all the time with an open diff. An open diff spins the axle with the least amount of resistance, so if one side is disconnected, you would have 2wd low.

Im locked up there so im out. When in 4wd low and my vacuum off the driver side always turns.

So, the 96's had a vac disco front diff too?

Thats what I was thinking-

Would a air locker work for this?
No air locker for the front 35 on a 2nd gen.

Whats it like driving in 3WD in snow? Is that what caused you to loose it in Cottonwood caynon?

The 3wd was so I could drive in the snow, I was fully locked when I lost control. Anyway you look at it, a 2dr sport with mud terrains thats locked front and rear sucks ass in the white stuff lol

So, the 96's had a vac disco front diff too?
Yea 95-97

IIRC, it's only '95-96 that have the vacuum front disco. I believe the '97 and newer all have the disconnect done only in the xfer case.
