Well what happened with the picture is that photobucket didn't like it. Said it "violated" their rules. You know the banana smilie that dances? Well I found this one and it does what your right hand(or left) does for you on a lonely night. Kinda funny and I posted it in response to Eburg Dub's pictures. I wish it could be added to the smilie list.

My mountaineer is gone. Last week she broke down two hours away from my house and we had to have it towed to a mechanic where they said it was just the battery, but we had tried to jumpstart it with three different vehicles and two different sets of cables. Since I am in college, the air conditioner is still messed up, it keeps dying randomly, and my parents are paying the bills, they decided it was time to let her go. They have to decided to trade it in to get me a Chevy Cobalt. Woe is me. :'(

Hmmm, how about they buy you a nice 2nd gen explorer....

We'll say cobalts are like 21k? Not really sure but that sounds reasonable,
Have them buy you a decent 1st or 2nd gen, then give you the other 20k LOL

Well since GM went down the toilet and they shut down a whole bunch of the dealers, one of them being in our town, we are getting a great deal. Also it hailed like crazy here and because of those bumps they hacked off another $2500, and now that I am in the shop I can repair those on my own. I think total it will be like $11K. I had to get rid of my mercedes project too. :'( All in all this has been a sad week. Hopefully nothing happens to my buick. I still have my moms explorer I can mess around with I guess, but it won't be the same.

Oh and it is too late to say just buy a new motor. I had to leave the keys with them last night. Today I am driving the old F-150, then I get to come home to a Chevy Cobalt LT sedan.... A FREAKING SEDAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The car gods have frowned upon me.

I really wish I could just have a first gen explorer. Something that I could run into stuff with just for fun and not have to worry about it. That would be awesome. If the ford dealer here wasn't so crooked maybe I would have been able to stay in the ford family with a focus or something.

There is hope! After going to many dealerships, we have decided that GM sells really lousy cars. Talks of repairs have come up, or at the very least a Ford product. I am hopeful. Wish me luck.

im not sure if i agree, my chevy 1500 and my girlfriends 05 tahoe is way better and reliable than my 05 explorer. Ive had som many small stuff go wrong on my ex than i have ever had on my 06 1500 and my gf's tahoe.......

But HoleyChest...THATS GREAT! I could have told you they produce lousy cars though lol, but yeah I like those new fusions, but ****, id go for an explorer again, or mounty, or a mustang, they have the saleen 09's for like 20k here

Well the problem is that where I live the Ford dealer is a Ford/Toyota dealer and they have pretty much dropped Ford. They have one fusion, one focus, and one Lincoln MKS or something like that. They don't even have a damn mustang! Also they are assholes. We have to drive about and hour and a half just to find a good dealer. I would love to get a silver fusion, or maybe I could transfer my mountaineer dreams over to whatever comes my way and go with black on black everywhere. I would never drive a GM if I had a say in this matter. I have tried my very best to convince my parents that Ford is they way to go. They weren't convinced until every GM we have looked at has either ridden terribly, or every body panel has been out of allignment straight from the factory. We found a used 2008 Taurus that I might have them convinced on. I have to buy a bunch of tools for my classes, then comes car payments, and after that comes some sort of mods even if it is down to something as basic like pinstripes. LOL. Where do you find a saleen for $20K?!?!?!?!? You live in heaven compared to this place.

Im in monroe, and when I saw that, i about **** my pants I wish I had a full time job, and i was like 25 so insurance wouldnt have been so ridiculous!

I told my mom to get it lmao...hah.

But yeah damn, I do like those new tauruses though theyre pretty schnazzy haha

Very very bad news. I did not get a nice new ford, or for that matter a nice used one. A couple of weeks ago my dad had wrecked my brother-in-law's vehicle into a deer at 70MPH, and gave some very large dents. To make everyone happy, they traded the mountaineer to them for their focus and smashed car, and they traded the mountaineer on two used cars.(we had a very large hail storm so everything was cheap) I have been going to school for auto collision and had been asking for a project car because that would be more fun for me... and I guess I got what I asked for.

You see the kicker here is that the kind of smashed car I got in all this trading was a mercury sable WAGON! Oh dear god! That is one of the ugliest cars ever produced! I had no idea my parents hated me! There are no performance mods I have been able to find at all, not anything really for the exterior either. Since the car is smashed my dad has given me a $1500 budget to get it back in shape however I want. I will post a picture later on. This is one hell of a beater.

You could drop a SHO engine in it...but that does not help the fact that its a station wagon...im VERY VERY sorry to hear that
