ok for the first time i took my explorer mudding whith my new warn hubs heck the fist time iv ever took it hard core mudding, it was pretty suprising but my tires are buld and i mean no tread will i see a big inmprovment whith new one beacse im geting them tomarow radial rovers rv's or somting like that, and is the explorer even made to go off road my dad says im going to break somthing but it has skid plates and all it seams like its ment to go off the road, and one more question, sorry about run on but where can i get shock mount skid plates thats my weakpoint

yes you will have a much better ride in your expl. on and off road with new tires. huge!!!, as for built for the off road well if you peek around this site you will see alot of guys and gals witch have built there lives around off roading these things. as for breaking stuff this is a yes. its kind of part of the activity you might say. i would strongly suggest a buddy system with your new hobby. its almost a must to bring another truck with you if not a darn good idea.
