MUTINEER's 5.5"Superlifted Ranger

Grille Guard

I did about six Months at a local Ford dealership and one of the freebies I got while I was there was a grille guard from a 2007 F-150.

So I set about making it fit the Ranger.

I took 8" out of the middle of it and welded it back together, and will be fabbing up the rest of the mounts tomorrow or the next day.

I think the finished product is going to be badass.:salute:

EDIT: stuck a pic of the original in and took out the ones that were all distorted.

Grille guard mounted

Got the grille guard brackets built, but havent shored it up yet. stuck the grille and headlights back in for the progress pics.

once I get it all welded up Ill get one outside. It worked out pretty good.

Got to trim off the very bottom and finish it up, and then on to the back.:salute:

Almost there

Well this is the finished Lift install. I still have to work out the Camber on the alignment, its off but looks to be adjustable without buying camber bushings... and if I have to get them Ill just hold off on the tires until after all that is right, these arent all that great anymore anyway...

So I still have to finish weld the bumper (I made it removable so when the V8 install happens its not a pain in the rear...) and the alignment and its ready to rock... If these pictures dont get your blood going...Im not sure what will. :D:D:D

Looks really good. I was going to suggest that you cut the bottom portion of the brush guard off, but you beat me to it :chug:

I thought how useful it would be to be able to plow the fields with it but then thought better of it... lol

Thanks!

Looks good. Does the drop bracket on the passenger side for the driver side beam still have those tabs that are used to bolt it up? If so, I suggest you add a triangle gusset to each one. All of mine cracked over time.

Yep. Still there. I will be doing this for sure. And thanks!
