I know you answered this in another thread, but it may be worth adding to this one if anyone searches it out. Please let the others know how you put 15" wheels on a 3rd Gen. I believe you said you had to use a spacer and/or trim a little bit of the caliper or knuckle? Just so that if someone wants 15's on their 3rd Gen they know they won't bolt up without a little modification...

It looks really good by the way

How to fit 15s on a 3rd gen

It's very simple go to your local parts store and get some 5/16 wheels spacers that fixes the rear right up but the front u have barely shave the corners the caliper bracket won't hurt anything so if u want fifteens get um lol

The cheap spacers at the auto parts stores aren't hub centric if I remember correctly?

True lol I have some hub centric ones ordered I just wanted to make sure the 5/16 spacer would do the trick now I gotta get balances and aligned so yea 5/16 works order hub centric ones lol sry bout that folks

Can't tell if its Realtree or Mossyoak but love the camo decals!!!

The wheels aren't hub centric- at least on my 2nd gen and any other wheel I've ever removed from a car. The lug nuts are conical shaped and center the wheel. The clamping force generated by the lug nuts hold the wheel to the hub face. The only thing the hub flange is for is to keep the wheel from resting on the lug threads before you get a lug nut snugged down.

For wheels to be hub centric, the hub flange would have to perfectly center the wheel. Any slight mis-alignment would result in a horrible vibration. And to get that kind if fit from a flat flange, it would have to be a very tight fit- one that would require a press to achieve. Has anyone ever used a press to install their wheels?

We're talking about the spacers, not the wheels :salute:

Is that the road bully suspension u had on ur white one?? Or is it the truxx one for the 06 and up? Where is the best/cheapest place to obtain those?? Really wanna get min up off the Swampers allittle lol

Well I went and got my tires balanced didn't help the wobble at all so any other ideas? Still gotta get my hub centric wheel spacers and replace my ball joints think this will fix my problem??

Yeah the hubcentric spacers should do the trick. Even though your tires are balanced your wheels are probably seated against the hub unevenly.

Sweet man thx I hope that fixes me up lol ill let y'all know ASAP

If your tires are bias ply, normal balancing may not work which could be your wobble. If so, there are a few tricks like a certain amount of BBs (Airsoft) that will work.

Ok man if the ball joints and the hubcentric spacers don't work I guess that'll be my next step lol thx

Yes, it was the Road Bully lift. I was one of the first folks on here to order theirs and (thankfully) didn't get ripped off by the seller. I was also one of the ones to initially stick up for him in his threads when others were reporting issues with him. I never had an issue with his lift and later sold it on here after turning my truck back to stock before selling it.

If you want a good spacer lift, go with BTF. Look at the stickies in the top of this forum. When I lift my new EB 4x4, I will be going with the BTF spacers and possibly his uniball upper arms as well. I need to put new upper ball joints on this EB already but might just go with the new arms overall because I think they're a fantastic design.

Yea I went and checked the arms out looks like a great design but didn't see the spacers anywhere how much for the arms and spacers said the arms go for 550 but what about the spacers I'd like to go with the spacers and the ranger body lift on mine where/how do I order the arms and spacers? Also I have the rancho lift for the rear I'd like to sale thx for all the help bud

Answered this in the other posts as well, but I'll put it here for future reference by other members if they search out your post.

Call Brandon @ BTF: 909-702-7462 Their website is http://www.btf-fab.com

His spacer kit runs $250, that was the last price he posted for them so I'm certain that's still the current price. You will need to call him to place the order....and he can go over the options you have for the lift size available.
