LOL yeah really. This is now my third salvage yard tranny and it works it will be the first one. If it doesn't work no way am I going back to Midwest Mustang. That guy Terry (ped5stang) is absolutely horrible. Made me wait from 8:15am till 10:00am for him to show up. Kept calling it telling his employees to tell me he'd be there any minute. Finally he shows up and pulls the whole intimidation act cussing up a storm, throwing and slamming stuff. Every second word out his mouth was the F word. Heck I thought he was about to take a swing at me. I had to stand outside his office for about five minutes so he could cool off and we could have a half way civilized conversation. What a horrible experience. I got my replacement tranny and left. How on earth do places like that stay in business?
Anyhow yes the mods worked great. Instead of spending the better part of a week pulling the tranny / motor combo I was able to just remove the exhaust, transfer case, tranny crossmember, unbolt and lower some of the front suspension and crossmember, remove all misc wiring cables etc. and lower tranny, jack up vehicle and remove out the side. I timed it too. Just going along at a casual pace it took about 4 hours. Not exactly earth shattering but much better than it used to be.
Tonight I should get the majority of the installation work done, hopefully finish it up tomorrow and then Thursday night maybe fire it. Maybe not, my 4 year old's sick so I may not be able to get into the garage much in the next few days.
Thanks
Malcolm
