Hello To All,
I am a newbie, posting my first message :-)

I have owned a factory 1992 Ford Explorer for 3 years when about 10 days ago, on thanksgiveing to be exact I was looking for a new truck and a friend said that I could save 13,000$ and just lift my Exp, So I did just that I went around looking for quotes of places doing it for me thay wanted 2,000 for the lift then more like 75p/h more to put it on, so I went online and bought a 5.5in Superlift and Bought 33" Mastercraft A/Ts and went to town, so far I have installed the front lift only because the back is still in shipping, but I am recording all in my webpage for all to see how I did it and help them Do It Yourselfers !

Hey Got More Pictures And I Am Almost Done With The Lift For Now To See Pics Of The Inside, System And Lift How To And Progress Goto Dead Link Removed

Someone Asked What Was In My System SO Here It Is
15" JL W6 DVC With Alpine Amps v12s, And A Kicker Crossover w/ Remote Sub Controll. I Have JL Audio XR 5.25 In The Front and Alpine In The Back, With An Alpine Head Unit.

Looks good man...What else did you have to buy for that lift to make it work? 650 for a 5.5" lift is pretty good, but is it complete?

Lift Extras

Hello again,

My Lift had no extras on it, except the usual: Tires, Rims, Brake Lines, Steering Stabilizer, And New Radius Arm Bushines.
I might shim the drive shaft, I have a bullish bumpy feel, but it isnt there Offroad, so I think that it might be the tires setteling. Anybody Have Any Ideas?

I Still Rub Also! The tire is turned about a hare and my tires rub when I hit a bump on my side steps!

Justin,

The sawzall is our friend. Also, you just might have to remove your tupperware.

Very illustrative your webpage, i liked it. For future references now is on my bookmarks.

The tire rubs because you got a 10" wide wheel. So like Char said just grab the sawzall and go to town. Looks good. Congrats! I have the same truck, with a 4" lift and 35s. :D
