other then the rear diff, i am trying to figure out how the driveline in that thing has survived up to this point. i mean, ford more then likely never dreamed someone would come along and huck that much power at it and expect it to live as long as it has.

There are so Many of these t cases on the road rebuilding them is kinda silly just swap them out

For explorer dudes with control trac cases I always put in the 1354e and a Motorola box to control it

Ford
Tough
31 spline large tube 8.8! That’s how
Jeep Chevy dodge Would have a Dana 35 rear axle with a 7.5 ring gear… yawn

Hey now, our front diff uses those Dana 35 gears too? I got a set of those from a Jeep a while back, new takes out for $115. They are cute, they wouldn't survive with full power in the rear.

Yes our front diffs have the same ring gear their rear diffs get… ford axles are Robust from the factory … go ford!!!
The worst offenders are the old jeep grand Cherokee with the 318 and a Dana 35 rear end, or all these Yukons and suburban with a 10 bolt rear…. The wranglers with their big factory tires marketed as “trail rated” and those little tiny Dana 30 knuckles come in third place

The used transfercase is working great and no leaks at all. The rear differential is quieter now, it only makes a whining noise at higher speeds in between coast and accelerating (which may be the cut of the Motive Racing gears). It was nice to get it out and take it for a drive, I needed that!
