I got this idea in my head a while back and finally got it done. This was a very cheap mod that cost me under $20 to complete. All but the vents where parts lying around the race shop that you could pick up at a used race car parts store or probably on e-bay.

This is my version of a true cold air intake.

Parts Used:
Vents
Brake Duct
Knackaduct (clear plexaglass piece
two hose clamps
Carbon Fiber Brake Hose Piece (no Idea what you would call it)
Wire Screen

I drilled hole threw side of air box and side wall with a hole saw then sealed old intake hole.

Cut hole in fender with ziz wheel. Then attached knackaduct with brake hose and screen to inside of fender with vent.

Brake hose tucks up in fender nicely when wheel well shroud is put back in.

This isn't ment to be a how to right up just wanted to show what I did and see how everybody likes it. I should have taken some more pics if mating the vent, fender and knackaduct together but it's in and too late now.

That's pretty slick. I would've mounted the knackaduct somewhere else than behind the front wheel and maybe paint the vent cover to match but all in all that's a cheap, creative approach.

That was the only place I could fit the knackaduct behind the fender. The black looks good on the truck. I ran out of day light but I will get some better picks when the sun finally comes out.

What are the resulta?

Nothing noticable engine wise, I still have a FRAM filter in it I can't aford a K&N right now but it's coming. I was getting alot of muddy water that was floating around in the engine bay sucked into the stock air box so hopefully along with being cold air it will be cleaner too.

Hear are some better pics with a little extra that I added that I think turned out really cool. I added an LED inside the intake then wired it to my dash lights so when I turn my dimmer up and down the LED brightness goes up and down. It really makes it look mean at night especially with the rock lights I can even make the light go up and down with the RPM's so it looks like a fire inside or a heartbeat. I think its really cool and something unique.

thats badass man

If you flip the vents around wouldnt it help get more air into the airbox?

ya it would but along with dirt and water. I didn't want forced air just the natural suction. The vents are also angled a little so spray from tires will go over top and not get pushed in, it does suck in some water a little but the stock box sucked in water, mud and all kinds of debri.

Haha you should have got a big air filter mounted out there lol jkjk your not drivin a ricer :p

I cut my airbox open more, I dont get any water or anything in there, I wonder how you were?
Well mines a 92 so maybe different placement or something
