DO TO PHOTOPOINT, MY PICTURES DON'T SHOW UP, BUT IF YOU GO TO THE SECOND PAGE I HAVE UPDATED PICTURES.

Here are some pictures of the 2 Explorer's my dad just got. Yes they look like they just came back from Moab, but this is how he bought them. We hope to have the silver one ready for Moab in May.
By the way when we get them finished they will be For Sale
The black one is a "96" and the silver one is a "97"

There will be after pictures whenever we get them finished.

why fix em? Just put in a lift and a new windshield... then you won't feel bad about rollin it in Moab :) j/k,c an't wait to see the miracle work (like your purple jeep eater!)

Sorry Matt, but these will stay stock.
I hope someday my dad will keep one and we could at least put a 2" lift in so he could run a little bigger tire, but then he knows he can always ride with us.

I want to see how that Black one Turns out. Do both of them have salvage titles?

I don't think either one has a salvage title. We get them in Wy. so they don't have the salvage title, but my dad tells whoever is looking at them that they have been in a wreck.
I don't care what the T.V. people say, you can fix a wreck just as good as it was from the factory. I get so pi*#ed when they show the bad people but not the ones that do a good job.

Wow Perry, those trucks look fine compared to your before picture!

Hey Perry, while you guys are doing all this body work, how much would you guys charge me to repaint a hood for an F-150? :)

heh heh nothing, I have a friend whos got a ram air hood for sale, but its the wrong color, so I'd need it painted to match. It's this hood here:

Ahh ok, I though you might have burnt the paint off of it with all the lights you have!

Hey, a Limited  Niiiiiceee....:D

The truck to pull the Explorer

So my dad is trying to keep up with Matt.
He just bought this 1999 Ford diesel to pull there camping trailer. I doubt we can get it fixed in time to pull the Explorer to Moab, but we will see.

OUCH!!!! that 250 looks bad. got your work cut out for you on that one. good luck, and keep us posted on it.

We haven't seen it except in these pictures, but most of it is just sheet metal.
First thing we will do is take off the box and replace it. Then put on new fenders and hood. We may have to do some straightening to the metal under the fenders, but it doesn't look all that bad.
That will give us our lines to fix the cab. The cab I suppose my dad will clip at the windshield post, then cut it thru the floor. If he can he will try and keep the information on the drivers door.

By the way Kris, this one has a good title also.

Well they delivered the truck today and it needs some work. We were surprised to find out it is also a 4X4. My dad thought is was just a 2-wheel when he bought it.
We called our friend at Ford and he is going to get us all new sheet metal. I guess you can buy it all put together ready to go except for paint. We will have to take the body off, put the new one on and then rewire the complete truck including the dash. that will be a lot better then trying to fix it piece by piece.

Maybe there is a chance we will have it for Moab Dead Link Removed

Update

Well my dad ordered the parts for the truck from Ford. They said it could be up to 3 weeks before we get the parts. I guess you can buy a complete package. That is cab, doors, fenders, and all the inside sheetmetal. It comes primed so we can paint it before we put it on. Then we will have to run all wiring, put in glass, interior (including dash)
We are still going to try and have it done for Moab.

As for the Silver Explorer, they didn't get to pull it last week, so hopefully it will get done this week. Then we can fix the roof and it will be ready to go.

Silver Explorer update!

Here are pictures of the 1997 Explorer on it's way to the frame shop.

Just outta curiosity...how much did it cost for the "all new sheet metal"?
