Hey guys, not that familiar with the workings of power windows, so wanted to get your opinions.
My window has stopped going up and down properly. When I push the switch down, it makes a clicking sound, like a gear stripping, and sometimes will eventually go down. Same with the up position. Does this sound like the "window regulator gear plugs", covered in this thread: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=220694
or should I just buy a whole new regulator?

Here is a video of what my window is doing:

Thanks in advance, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Could be the window motor that operates the window, had the same problem on a 1991 explorer and the motor has 3 Barrel like pegs that wear out and need replaced, not a hard job to accomplish.

Haha, I'm going though the same thing on my Ranger: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=336632
I would first check those plugs in the motor, they are the cheapest and easiest.
Mine turned out to be good, and I found a broken spacer I need to replace.

Also, I found a few youtube videos that helped me make sense of it all.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies  Pulled the motor out today, and those gear plugs were in a million pieces. Picked up the new ones from O'Reilly's and it works like new. Here's a pic of the old ones:
