nice! how are you going to finish it off? bedliner? are you gonna powdercoat it?

I'm gonna hit it with a coat of black for now until my lights get here. Then I'll drill my holes and go over it with a coat of bedliner

looks good! How did you bend the pipe? And did you do all the welding? The ones in that last pic look great

with a pipe bender that is like 70 years old haha.

Nah my step dad welded it for me. I drew the plans, picked the sizes and he welded it together.

Looks really good! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Looks good.. add some hoops that go toward the headlights so its a full wrap around brush guard. Not sure if your part of Florida has wild hogs but those things can do a number on a vehicle if you hit one. A good brush guard can lessen the damage from one of those beasts.

Or even just some tubing to fully protect the factory bumper - even if you don't go up high around the headlights, it would look pretty cool with a bumper guard :)

not a fan of brush guards, Otherwise I would of saved a few hours of cutting and welding and just purchased one and put it on lol

There are a lot of hogs up about an hour north of me where my family lives, But I plan on lifting the truck so that would have to be a big hog to hit my headlights

Plus I'm not paying for full coverage insurance to have to protect my vehicle myself, For once I can let the insurance cover the mishaps

After I get my lights, Side steps, lift, and tuner I'll come up with some more plans for welding. I'd like to make a whole new rear bumper but I got a lot more plans to finish first

first couple coats.

lol and I have business membership through the company I work for so I get free one day shipping so it makes it REALLY too easy

i really suggest getting the bedliner on, or powdercoating it. being that its on the front of the car, going at highway speeds will chip the paint off that thing in a day or two.

I agree! I have one of the eBay ones from Hunter Truck Gear and its claimed to be "5 Stage Powdercoated". Its holding up better than my previous one and hasnt chipped a once! I even pushed some shopping carts around at work with my truck :D and no marks haha

Waiting for my lights to get here so I can drill the holes before I decide what/if to paint it with
