My local dealer has a Ford GT

I saw it parked at the corner of the lot, so I stopped in to check it out. The saleman tells me they got it in on Monday, it's the only one they will get this year, and he is confident it will be sold by this weekend.

Here's the sticker. Factory price~$139,000, dealer options bring it to $159,000, and the dealer tacked on another $100,000 just because they can! Total sticker price is $259,000!

I work for a builder who only builds in RSF, our houses go for 4-6 million. So, I believe it when he said it would sell by this weekend.

They also said no one would test drive an SVT vehicle, but I managed to get a 03 Lightning out, then 2 weeks later a Mystic purple '04 Cobra. He wouldn't let me dog the Cobra though

And I believe you about the price mark up. So far, they only have about 500 made, and 160 sold. So if you want one of those badass cars, expect to pay more than what you thought.

They showed one on Car & Driver tv doing a burnout. I had soo much power at the back wheels, it was pushing the car forward with the front wheels locked up. I know it was prob. because the engine in the back/light weight, but damn it looked cool.

The 100K mark-up seams to be standard as the GT at my local dealership has the same... The salesman indicated the mark-up was to prevent the car from being sold too quickly. If someone drops the $250K then so be it, but the car is basically a draw to get people in the dealership and into a hot new Mustang...

yes the yellow one I sat in was delivered for $230K
540 HP ended up being the final number on the supercharged 5.4L.
