My new truck& trailer

I bought this 2003 F350 it’s a power stroke with all the banks goodies you can buy. All it needs now is an aux fuel tank. It’s got 35000 miles on it; it’s loaded and 4x4. This older guy used it to tow his trailer. I needed a truck for my business, and to tow my X. What do you guys think? Sorry pics are from my phone.

Now for a trailer, witch style should i get? It's to tow my X with, if i get the gooseneck i can tow 2 cars at once.

Definitely the gooseneck - they are much more stable having the pivot point right over the truck's axle.

Well the wife can drive her own dam car to wherever we end up. Her internship is looking like DC or NJ.

I found this one for $6700 it's can haul 30,000lbs. I like this because it has a hyd ramp, and i can get a 10,000lb winch mounted on the front.

I am thinking of getting this trailer and puting a cab over camper on it. Then i could put my X behind it.

That would be cool. How long is that thing?

the trailer 38ft, the campers i looked at today were about 16 to 18 ft long. The part that goes over the truck, will go over the gooseneck part. That is only 12ft on the floor of the trailer, that leaves me with 26ft of flat space left.

Bear in mind the hyd. ramp will be a huge drag on the truck, decreasing fuel mileage. They are like a sail back there, I'd look for one with ramps that fold. I would definitely go with a gooseneck, far superior towing.

The ramp folds flat and locks in to position. Fuel is not a problem i have a 100gal bed tank ordered, that was the first thing i did today.:D :p:

Its not running out I was thinking about, its buying it!

If the ramp folds flat that would be much better, I have seen them that go straight up when in travel.

Oh i get off highway (red) fuel $1.90 a gal in bulk shhhh dont tell, at a good price 2000gal at a time.

Yeah the DOT's in Cali don't really bother checking pickup trucks. They have enough to worry about with drunken truckers and all. My dad has run it for years, he dose run clear when they go to Colorado thought.

I would get the gooseneck, second choice being a pintle.

Well the wife has final say i what we buy she liks this!I do to but i have to see if the X will fit in there its 32Long, 20High,9ft wide.

If you are going that big look into a new or used race car trailer, they have a nice parking spot and tool storage with decent living quarters.
