Well, I finally found what I'd been looking for, picked it up yesterday, and so far I'm very happy with it.

1999 Ford Explorer XLS 4x4
5 Speed Auto Trans.
4.0 OHV V6
109,392 Miles

The truck is rust-free, The inside is LIKE NEW (seriously), It runs, drives, and rolls great down the road. Picked it up for $3300!

Here's why:

You can't tell from far back, but the truck hit a deer a few months ago, not too bad, but it broke the bottom mount for the grille, and made the pass. side headlight loose, and the pass. side rear fender flare has a "dent". It also bent the hood up a slight bit, which you can see in the pics, but overall, no big deal, very easily fixed, all of that.

Now, the only other thing, is the rear bumper is bent down... It seems to be a major problem with these Explorers But, that's no hard fix, either, just the brackets bent.

Should only take a few hundred in parts to make it close to perfect again, it already has brand new tires.

Here's some pics:

The only things I would change about this truck, would have been it having an SOHC motor, opposed to the base model 4.0, and that it was red or blue. I've never been a huge fan of white, but at this price for a '99, I'm not complaining.

No rust that is great:cool: , I guess that truck never drove on overly salted roads during the winter. My 99 X is starting to have rust on the hood.

Nope... believe it or not it came from Michigan's UP.

Around here... Most vehicles, at least older than 2000, anyway, have some rust.

This one looks to have been garaged, Though I'm beginning to believe that it may have been on a dirt road most of it's life, as the shocks feel a little tired, and there are numerous tiny rock, and stone dings on the lower parts of the body.
