I was wondering if you would have the pinout for a 2001 connector C139.

New to this site I have a 02 Sport Trac. I was wondering if anyone has dimensions for speaker box behind the seat or under the seat for 2-10" subs

Rack and Pinion

Just replaced the rack and pinion on my 2001 Ex Sp Trac. I'm still leaking power steering fluid, but NOT from the pressure or return lines. It seems to be coming from the moving part on the rack that connects to the steering column. (Steering column bolt is also tight). Any suggestions/diagrams/tips/anything to point me in a direction? I would like to not have to replace the rack, AGAIN, but I'm thinking at this point that is what it will take. Insight appreciated.

It is possible that the top seal is bad. New parts/rebuilt parts are occasionally defective. That is a real drag to have to replace it again.

I was afraid that would be the answer. HA! Thanks though.

Clean/wash it off real good and be sure before you drop it again!!

You wouldn't happen to have a wiring diagram for a 2000 Ex Full length center console?

Good site!!!

Dang Shoot...

Yeah, I've cleaned it up a few times. Let me ask one more question, before I get too far into it (I've already started getting it all back out). Fact: It IS, for sure leaking from the rotating portion of the rack. The continuation of the steering column. Question: Am I correct in thinking that bottom line, whether I replace the entire rack again or not, the whole thing would have to come out to get fixed anyways???

If you just put it in it should be covered by a warranty, the rack not the labor unfortunately since you installed it yourself. But, yes it will have to come back out.

Do you have something that shows the lower intake manifold? I have a leak there and want to find the easiest way possible to replace it.

Also, a few lights out on the dash, any help there?

thx

How did you diagnose a lower intake leak?
You have mail for that.

As for the dash lights:
bulb change

I had taken it to Pep Boys and they did a smoke test, also you can hear the sputtering when it's running. I believe that's what it was diagnosed as, but I'm going to double-check the paperwork just to make sure.

Thanks for the other info!

2004 XLT 4dr audio

I replaced the head unit and ended up buying a couple of different wiring harness to try and keep from cutting my factory connectors.

The replacement unit is working, but no sound from the rear speakers.

My factory unit is the single CD 3L2T-18C815-UA

It had two connectors... one with 2 rows of pins, one with 3 rows of pins.

I matched up all of the wires in the connector with 2 rows of pins. The only one that is not hooked to anything is Orange w/Black stripe.

The connector with 3 rows of pins only has two wires and I don't have them hooked up to anything. Both wires are thin gauge, one is yellow, one is grey w/black tripe.

Do I need to hook the Orange/Black strip to a ground to get the rear speakers to work?

Do those wires from the connector with 3 rows have to hook into anything?

...wish I still had my 92.

Thanks
Michael

Problem Fixed

I have a 2002 Sport trac here in the Philippines. Recently had the transmitter for the key replaced and since then the high beams don't work. I think they left something disconnected or didn't reconnect properly. Could also be a loose fuse. Which fuses do I need to check? Any other ideas? Thanks and all the best for 2013.

I found a link to the owners manual on another forum and found that fuse 33 was for high beam. Checked the fuse and found the fuse is blown but somebody had wound some wire around it to maintain the connection!!!! I guess that is called a Filipino fuse...... So I wound it a bit tighter and high beam now works....... But now I need to find a replacement fuse. May not be easy as I'm in a provincial city with no Ford dealership.
