i got compliments left and right on the box.. it took about 15 hours to complete with my moms boyfriend who is a professional cabinet maker. its made out of 2 layers 3/4" MDF so 1 1/2" total all the way around.. i used body filler to seal off all the screw holes and seams.. then went around every edge with a 3/4" round-over and around all the ports and baffle with a 1/4".. i used about 10 cans of 99 cent black paint from walmart and about 4 cans of clear

umm.. super sexy if you ask me :P (cig box for scale)

my deck.. its flashy and looks cool but anybody thats had one will tell you its kind of novelty.. id much rather have buttons and a knob to be honest..

hey thanks! i just added a few more pictures too!

nice...I see you understand the real world benefits of a custom bass reflex enclosure.

Most idiots I talk to who think they know about speakers always talk about ported enclosures but have no idea what net volume, resonant frequency, or what a helmholtz resonator is. I just smile and nod punching them in the face in my imagination for being so ignorant to truth.

Just shows what you can do with some low quality subwoofers...cheers

get a video up with a handful of coins on the roof. Its a good measure of flex with the slow frame rate of the camera.

this is with only a single 12 and 250 watts

@aznboi thanks for showin love man.. i totally didnt expect this much recognition.. so far its been a warm welcome to the forum!

the #1 goal of this system was to save the moolah$$.. just for fun people could take a couple swings at how much this all cost me.. i think youll be suprised! any takers? (dont cheat and look stuff up just watch the video and guess!)

oh and ill have to try the change thing next time i get out to make a video..

you def should!!! hmmm....i dont know how much did it all cost after everything was said and done?

Very nice!

I couldn't help but notice you have the same XM radio receiver as me, and you also thought to wedge it in the little storage cubby under the A/C controls. Very nice.

As for a guess on total cost, i'm going to say 1000 dollars.

you hit the nail right on the head jothcra.. and yes the xm sits very nicely down there.. although i havent been using it much cause it doesnt sound very good on my system.. the bass comes in too heavy and the mids and highs are too quiet!! anyway im getting a new deck tonight so well see!

thanks for the love everyone!

That's pretty impressive that's definitely more than what I need lol but looks and sounds like a nice setup.

my neighbors pretty much forced me to do this.. they hate loud music and love calling the cops :( so i had to take my show on the road

question.. if i upgrade my system what is the proper etiquette.. just add to this thread or make a new one?

sorry me = forum n00b
