My gear selector/shifter is off...actually, my brothers '00 Mazda pickup is the same way, even worse.
For example, when in Park, the orange indicator is about 1/3 to the right of the "P", 1/3 to the right of "R" when you put it in reverse, etc...and the same goes for all of the other gears.
I'd assume that this has something to do with the shifter cable stretching?
*Does this have any negative effects?*
I'd really like to fix it!!!
