My Explorer sport track will idle wonderfully but put it into drive and press the gas pedal and wants to stall out. I could put it into gear and and I can move or forward or backwards as long as I don't press the gas pedal. Any ideas?

Have a check engine light? Could be a huge vac leak.

Or weak fuel pressure.

What year and miles

Yes I have a check engine light and 11 codes. P0113 intake air temperature sensor p0743 torque converter clutch circuit p0750 755 760 765 are all shift solenoid ABCD which I replaced p 1747 and 1451 manufacturer p0135-602 sensor heat circuit bank 1 sensor 1 and then 0141-02 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 2 the 0155 bank 2 sensor 1

Also the od light is flashing yellow now.

Torque converter could be locked up

Any work done to trans recently? I would do a visual Inspection of the trans make sure no wiring has come unplugged or chewed up or ???

So what happened one day it’s fine the next it just “won’t go” and the od light starts flashing?

First thing to do many times is to clear all codes and then see how long before they come back. Likely immediately with this situation, but sometimes the codes are a result of trying to drive a truck that is having one issue.. then you get multiple codes which “muddy up the water” and make it harder to sort out what is actually happening

The 5r55e trans in your sport trac is now 22-23 years old and so is the fluid… even with those low miles it maybe time for a trans r and r

First thing that we did was change the ABCD solenoids in which we found nasty trans fluid so we changed that and the screen out. And it still showed those codes.

Don't know anything about a torque converter anything you tell me on how to check it or figure out if it's the problem. Thank you for your help
