Well i wondered how they would fix this and its good it didn't do much more damage than it did...

Nothing! He was able to unbolt the D-shaft with no damage to either the U-joint or shaft...lucky

Nope, not so lucky

The morning after it broke I knew the rear yoke on the driveshaft was shot. It was nearly chewed through from contacting the yoke on the diff. The u-joint was also so loose in the yoke it was rattling

That's all the damage I knew of until I got home and tried to move the slip yoke. Yeah right! The splines must have twisted something terrible because it won't budge even when I hit it with a BFH

So... both ends of the driveshaft were totally shot. I just got my new one in from High Angle Driveline yesterday so I'm finally back in business and ready to rock

thats the only place it could be with a pinion angle like that
