Black magic did a write up on lowering his X, well I got curious and checked the height of mine, it is already lower then what his was lowered to. Also when I've parked beside a couple of other X and mine seems to be sitting lower. This is more then just the sag from the gas tank because it seems to be both sides.

What can I do to stop this, prevent further sag, is it dangerous?

Tires are 235/75/15 Goodyear Wrangler RT/S.

Measurements are from the ground thru the centre of the wheel to the top of the wheel well; see black magic site for pics on where he measured I went off the same spot;

My measurements are;
Front driver side - 31-3/4"
Front pass - 32"
Rear driver - 31-1/2"
Rear pass - 32-1/2"

Thanks.

lift it.. torsion twist and warrior shackles and get 4 door springs... the stock monoleaf sucks

By looking at your pictures, it doesn't look lowered. But it does look like you are running a smaller tire than stock.

Black Magic's is a 2001. Yours is a '96. The measurements will not be the same since the fenders most notably the wheel openings are shaped completely different. The numbers you got seem about correct and seem to jive with what I remember mine being back when it was at the stock height. Ford has a procedure for setting the ride height. I posted it here a while back. Try searching for it and see if you can come up with it. If not, I'll dig it up again.

Robert - found the post you had done before, Thanks

now I just have to get hold of a lift to check it, I'll probalby wait till it is in for service next and let my mechanic take a look (I trust my usual shop). I'm still sure my truck is sitting lower, other 2nd gen X's at parking lots sit higher.

According to tirerack 235-75-15 is the proper stock tire size. Hartman do you possibly remember what yours was before lowering.

Thanks
