My X was hit

--Well I had an accident with my explorer today...only about 3 months after I bought it. I couldn't see the car I hit, 'cause it was way low to the ground. So my bumper and rear panel on the passenger side it all dinged up I'll post up a picture as soon as I get back home.
--Fortunately it is still driveable It was kind of iffy being that the wheel was jammed in their bumper. So its going to the body shop tomorrow to get an estimate done so insurance will pay and then its off to be repaired.

Ok here are the pics. I guess one of my friends was at the same gas station and took a pic for me

As you can see my X went up on to the hood of the impala that I hit. This was the high point of my day.

And here's one of the damage.

I hit a chevy impala.

And Rondo, fortunately there were no injuries.

That stinks, Nate. But, that could have been a lot worse- no injuries, and it looks like you can get away with a new bumper cover and bumper reinforcement. Probably could even pull the rear 1/4 back down and look pretty good too, unless you're turning it into your insurance...

Been there, done that...

I've had a similar accident, but I hit a '96 Geo Metro in the A pillar. My bumper looked just like yours and it costed a grand to fix (insurance split it with me). Insurance paid $2,200 to fix the Geo, though.... I didn't understand why, as the Geo was only worth about 800 bucks

And you screwed up an impala but good. How much to repair it?

$1500 But I may sell the car (probably not, but I may). I'm going to try to make a profit and hopefully end up with another (older) Explorer or a Ford Ranger, or F150. This all depends on if I can find what I want at a decent price, and if I can get the money I want out of it.
