ha! just read your thread. You had quiet a little run in there for a while. motor, window, radio, moon roof, bumper, 90k service all in 6 months. and only one of those was covered by ford.

ALL DONE! truck runs fine again.

You can see what they are supposed to look like. the second one from the left is the only one that came out whole. The extraction kit made by Lisle Tool ($63 on amazon.com) saved my butt. Ford wanted $375 parts and labor for a plug change, and they would have charged $100 per extraction. I don't see how they could have broken a lesser amount of plugs. I did everything per the TSB.

and at 76k miles, i was passing a car, she down-shifted viciously hard, and now i no longer have 1st or 2nd gear.... Going to try and get to the junkyard with my mom's truck and get a driveshaft for my explorer and hopefully that will be able to drive 50mph afterwards and get me to work while i figure out what to do about the 150.

and now at 77k, i have random misfires in cylinders 2,6 and 7. Mostly at idle and under load on the interstate at about 70mph and beyond. truck won't even get past 80mph anymore. I took the edge back to the stock program and replaced the fuel injector and coil pack on cylinder 6, because originally it was only misfiring in cylinder 6. Now its like a virus and spreading and i have no idea why. Still using premium gas, but i don't think that would cause this. I'm so fed up with this truck lately. I wish i would have bought a dodge with a hemi, at least it would have looked cool and i could say "yeah, its got a hemi."

tried swapping injectors on the opposite side to see if maybe a problem in one bank was affecting the other bank, but no change. Most constant problem causer is cylinder 6. With the fuel filter done not too long ago, the spark plugs at 70k and i just replaced the injector and coil pack on cylinder 6, i have no idea what the problem could be. any ideas?

Tow rig love.

Well, my thrid set of tires started looking pretty anemic. And since this truck is primarily used for hauling lumber and snow commuting, I figured it was time for some new rubber.

Figured the rims could use some updating as well.

Going to have to fix some major rubbing issues. Might just get a 6" lift for it.... But I really don't want to spend $1400, but I also don't want to shred my fenders and tires at the same time.
