MyNameIsAric's 98 FULL width SAS

I will keep this first post updated with my progress so people don't have to weed through all the boring crap associated with these buildup threads.
So far I have:

Front axle:
Dana 60 35 spline kingpin high pinion from a 79 f-250/350
detroit locker
dedenbear knuckles
5.38 gears
alloy usa shafts
longfield u-joints
warn hubs (should have went with drive flanges)
high steer arms with full hydraulic steering

Steering:
2x8 double ended cylinder from surpluscenter.com
steering valve out of an old forklift
misc. hoses and fittings from surpluscenter.com

Rear axle:
Dana 60 30 spline low pinion from a 79 f-250/350 (should have went with a 14 bolt)
full spool
5.38 gears
Disk brake conversion

Tires/wheels:
16.5" hummer h1 8 bolt double beadlocks recentered with custom stazworks centers.
36x12.50 wrangler rt II 6 ply military bias tires(sucky but cheap)

Things I need still:
new rims and tires and hopefully she wont shake so bad at 60mph.

stock pump, just had to buy a metric o ring to jic conversion fitting. I can try and find the receipt if you want. i can't remember what the metric o-ring size is at the moment, but it converts to jic-8. most of my plumbing came from surpluscenter, but i had to get some stuff from another website that i can't think of right now, and i'm pretty sure that is where i had to get my adapter from.

I haven't nailed my system up against any rocks, so i can't really tell you how well it performs offroad, but i can turn my tires on dry pavement with no effort.

That'd be great if you still have it. Thanks.

edit: IZwack has done some mods to his stock pump. I think he got his up to 1600 psi. Mine runs at 1400 according to a digital nitrous gauge i hooked up. I have no idea what the flow rate is, but i don't seem to have any problems. Just need a bigger cooler for those hot summer days.

OK, i think she is done. Still has a leaky passenger side rear axle seal even though i've replaced it already, and my driveshaft contacts the gas tank skid in a bind, but those are minor things. Could probably use a bigger steering cooler too.

had my buddy matt take it for a spin while i snapped some pictures.

Front flex is OK.. Rear flex is better. hopefully the coils just need to break in?
6134011443_70a9df85ff_b.jpg

This one felt a lot more vertical inside the truck.

Nice Aric! As well as "done", that is Never... Remember seeing your Ex in Naperville about 5+ years ago, and thought, how did he get 33's on there!

Looks good. When's it hit the trails?

when i graduate college in 2 years probably. I've got no way to get it to the trails currently, and i don't drive it further than a 10 mile radius from my house.

lol

I have a few bugs to work out. who ever said my 3/8 socket u-joint was a bad was right... sort of... it was OK, but i'm definitely upgrading to a half inch impact swivel socket. I also need more up travel in the front suspension. Rear suspension is good. I didnt find any problems with it... especially considering it flexes better than the front.
