1999 explorer V8 5.0L XLT
HI everyone, i have a 1999 explorer v8 5.0l and have issues with coolant leaks right on the temperature sensor, the problem is with the part shown in the picture below
im trying to find the part but i cant find the name for it, would anyone please help me to find out whats is called? the sensor is fine is just the part that goes into the manifold thats completely rusted

theres a post where @410Fortune is showing the part im looking for but i dont see the name for it

i would really appreciate any help on the matter, thank you!!

You can cut the heater manifold right after the coolant temp sensor and run traditional rubber coolant hoses… I do this often on 5.0 conversions into older trucks

but is for 3.0 Ranger.

If it is this whole part, how does it screwed in?

thanks a lot for your help, i found the repair manual and it has the part that you mentioned, but for some reason in my v8 it is connected to a Ruber hose and the ECM , but im reading other replies and seems like it was modified to be shorter

I’m not selling that unit I just found it on eBay
I think it’s for a mustang but it’s very similar to the explorer piece so in a pinch you could make it work
