Need Early Bronco axle info

Ok so I don't know a heck of a lot about EB axles and a buddy has a bunch of parts he will let me pick through.

What info can you guys tell me about the d44 off 77 EB. ie what is the axle spline count, what is the pinion yoke and maybe u-joint sizes. But also what would be a good upgrade.

I know the 9" rear is a big bearing rear, but what is the bearing size 3.062. I know the rear is a 28 spline and honestly I am set on the rear except info on the pinion yoke spline size and an upgrade option.

71-96 & 94-96 IFS, Dana 44, Front 30 spline 10 bolts, 8.5" Ring Gear
66-76, Ford 9" Rear, 28 spline, 10 bolt
76-86, Ford 9" Rear, 31 spline, 10 bolt

thats all i could find to help ya, dont know if the data is 100% cause where I found it some of it was wrong (said 91-94 explorers have dana 28 ifs?)

it should be a 30 spline

carrier breakdown: The R&P ratio ranges supported by the carriers are 2.87-3.73 and 3.92-5.89

The rear will be 28 spline unless it has been upgraded to 31. There were no 30 spline 9" axles. The front will have the "mini-me" 260 ujoints in the shafts which are weak. You can upgrade to the bigger 297 joint by getting some Chevy D44 shafts and cutting down/re-splining the long side inner.

Edit- also, the carrier break is only true for the 44. There is no break on the 9"

Info provided by a friend on another local board

D44 axle spline count should be 30.

d44 carrier breaks are 3.73 and down, and 3.92 and up.

pinion spline diam and count on the 9" is 1.235, 28 spline.

9 inch u-joint should be a 5-1200x 0r a 5-153x. You just have to check.

d44 axle joints should be 5-297x, but may be the smaller 5-260x

I can tell you right now the front will be the 260 joint unless it has been upgraded.
