need help on wheel backspacing

I am lifting my 97 explorer sport roughly 5". tt and lift spindles on front and soa on the back. I have already purchased a set of 33-12.5-15 mud tires and need new rims for them to be mounted on. I am looking at the Ion 138 series wheel from Jegs. The wheels is a 15-8 with 4-1/4 backspacing. will this work with my truck? Link to wheels

That's too much back spacing. you want to go the other way. A wheel with 3.75" BS is what you're looking for.

I got 4.5" on my truck. It looks OK, but it doesnt stick out as much as i'd like it to. Front tires rub the sway bar on full lock, rear tires rub plastic on full stuff. In other words, im buying the same wheels with 3.75" backspacing soon. That 1.5" overall more width is more then you think.

thanks, would it make any difference if it was the 15-10 with 4" backspacing, instead of the 15-8 with 4.25" back spacing?
