91 Navajo LX 4X4
Hey all!
I just bought a 91 Navajo, and my wallet is wanting to blow money out like a damn leaf blower, so with that in mind here are my questions. Also before I start, I did use search, and got mixed results, so hopefully its ok to make a new post. If I have offended anybody I apologize in advance.

First, Im looking into body lifts as a starting point. Im not going to be doing super-heavy fourwheeling. Just the occasional trail. The biggest tire Im gonna put is a 32. Im not looking to spend a whole bunch. Which kit would you reccomend, and what are prices?? Also what are the pros/cons of both a 2" and 3" body lift? And do I have to lengthen anything(like steering wheel, shifter, etc?

Second. I will eventually go the suspension lift route, and will combine the suspension lift with the body lift for a total lift of about 4-5". What is a nice in-expensive suspension lift??

Thank you VERY much for your input on this!

To the best of my knowledge, you can do a cheap suspension lift and fit 32s. I don't recommend a body lift if you can avoid one.

get 2" coils, and shackles and add a leaf, do some trimming and toss on some 32s... a lot better than a bl.... but if you really want a bl, there is a lot of work to do, yeah, its easy, but very tideous trying to fabricate your own brackets and linkages and stuff.... just do suspension lift....

If your Navajo is a 5spd manual then stay away from the 3" lift. If memory serves me when I was considering the same thing I read a long post by I thin LD50. He said that with the 3" BL he had to go with a different boot for the shifter and do some cutting around the shifter. His post was the only time I had heard of this. If you have auto then ignore me.

thats the tedious stuff i was talking about, sure, the bl is cheap, but you have to do a lot of custom modding to make it work.... a suspension lift is a lot more reliable and a lot more bolt on

OK,

Thanks for all the input. It looks as if im going to be going with a cheap'ish suspension lift. Thanks for your input!
