Bridgestond Dueler REVO's are an excellent choice. If you want a little more agressive, the BFG AT ko's are a good choice too, but a little louder as they wear. Lots of people on the site have run both. Run a search on either to get more opinions than you want :D

I think that you couldn't go wrong with either a set of Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors or a set of BFG AT's. I believe that the Silent Armors are available in 31's. I have them as 265's on my '99 X and they have been really good tires both on and off road. On raod they grip very well in all driving conditions other then snow, still have not had them in the snow. Off road they perform very well in mud, trails, and sand. And as we all know the BFG At's are known for holding their own in just about any condition. just my 2 cents

i'm really happy with these tire so far. there wild track radial LTR made by cordovan.the tread and warranty are good for 50,000 miles.they are a really aggressive looking tread pattern with low low road noise. i was going to get some bridgestone duelers or yokahama geolander a/t but after seeing my tires next to those on other vehicles i'm not regretting the decision. there just not as aggressive looking enough for me as i would have liked. can't beat the price either, i got them at big o tire, mounted and balanced for $830 bucks canadian vs. the others were like $1200+ in this size which works out to be a 31".

thx for all the info guys i looked at the ones you mentioned and i am wondering if i wanna go with a MT instead of a AT i know road noise will be much higher with MT but i wonder how much performance i would gain in mud /dry dirt.....

got a small question i am asuming AT models will have a much higher mile rateing than a mt tire yes?

Pretty much. From what I hear MTs aren't good in snow or rain, that's the reason I went with ATs, and that MTs wear faster.

MT's wear faster than AT's. The noise is considerably worse with any MT, and it gets worse as they wear. I have BFG AT's and I love them they are quiet on road. I have driven them a couple of thousand miles now and they aren't showing much if any wear. There are people who have gotten 50k plus out of a set when rotated regularly. The side lugs look aggressive and they do well off road from what I have seen in my limited trips off road. They cost more, but I believe they are worth it.

I really like my BFG AT/KOs.

ya i really think i am gonna get some BFG AT/KOs but i called like every tire shop in town and no one has the size or if they have the size they only have the mt's so imma buy em off summit and just have some one mount them :P thx for all the advice

why not get a new set of rims and switch when you go off road? kept your road tires and then have a set of cheap steel wheels with yout BFG MT on them.

ya i thought of that too and i am looking into it though if i did that i would go for some MT monsters being as such i wouldnt use them accept for offroad but i guess it would depend on how big the tqax return is in a couple months :)

Why width 10.50...I would get 11.50 or 12.50 if u can find them in the brand that you are looking for. Probably not gonna be any more cash for a little more width.

well what i have been told is you cant really fit anythign wider on a 00 xlt

ya i am gonna get the bfg at ko/s now just donno if i wanna stick wit the 31x10.50 or go with 30x9.5 and not even think twice about rubbing... decisions decisions....

I am very happy with my Dunlop Rover A/Ts. They are fairly cheap and have good offroad traction and are quiet on the road. The tread pattern on them is pretty bad ass too.
