new dd, f350

i had someone tell me the bald tires only affect braking due to no grip, ill wonder/slide.

Well I hate to tell ya, but tires manage more the braking stability, tires help straight down the road control and turning stability and control and are the biggest asset to a comfortable ride when dealing with street manners.

i think it mayve been my tie rods doing the weird steering on me. normal working ones you can move the joint, but its stiff.
i took off the whole tie rod assembly/drag link to check them. the one on my passenger knuckle is not even remotely tight at all. wind could move the joint.
im guessing a bump would knock the joint one direction, giving me toe out and making me need to turn to go straight. then another bump would knock it the other way giving toe in and making me need to turn the other way to go straight.

one more is also a little off. its tight, but not as much as a new one.

buttttt.... im replacing everything anyway. once i buy everything else ill put up a pic of the parts pile.

so i got it looking like this:

39.5x15r16.5 bias tsl's on 16.5x14 steelies

then i went out to have fun and get the tires dirty with some girls a few weeks later....

my passenger side wasnt touching the bottom. i have 39.5s there was another 2 feet below my tires until it hit ground. i was high centered on the left/under the body. this hole is seriously dangerous. i got in there and water was up to my chest with me on the bottom, only on the passenger side tho. i plan on going back and filling it with cement chunks one day.
