new exhaust

I finally got my catback exhaust installed and it's just the way I want it. I've basically been researching it for a good chunk of the summer but finally all the pieces came together and it's in and it sounds great :t:

Here are the specs:
*upgraded from 2" to 2.25"(aluminum) piping from the catalytic converter back
*Maganaflow muffler (aluminum)
*3" stainless steel tip with rolled edges straight out the back
*everything carefully welded and aligned right in front of me

I did a lot of research on this and other forums trying to figure out what would be best for me and my X and I thank all of you for your help. Even after I found what I wanted it took me a while to find a shop with a knowledgeable staff and a price I was willing to pay. My thanks go to Frank at Extreme Exhausts for doing a great job in just about an hour.

I paid $270, I think this is a good price... I'm not 100% but the closest estimate I had to this one was $350 and I know that's too much.

Great, about the same system I have, what size Magnaflow did you use ( Lenth)
Would almost bet the tubing is aluminized steel, in our local will last forever, Enjoy

you are correct about the tubing be aluminized steel just like the muffler. i can't remember the length and we threw out the box at the shop but i believe it was 18".

can you get some audio of it? I am thinking about buying the magnaflow system for my 2001 limited X which is the same as yours and my main concern is what it sounds like. I want something throaty and kinda loud. I don't want anything too soft.

Yeah, I am impressed with the sound of my magnaflow too.
