- 2006 Ford Ranger Fx4
Hey all. Glad to be here. I do not have an explorer but I do have a 2006 ranger fx4 with the 4.0. I did do about all the research I could possible handle before posting this. One of my leads sent me here and did find some help but not exactly what I was looking for so here I am making my first post.
My 5r55e tranny won’t go into a forward gear. Reverse works fine. It’s started being delayed a couple days ago in D. Would tap the gas then it would pop in. Now it doesn’t go in unless I really rev it up, but, once it’s in gear it works perfect. Shifts super smooth, no hesitation at all. A buddy of mine was here most of the day, brought his expensive scan tool and we checked everything we could’ve with it. It will even run each solenoid, tell voltage of them and everything. Seemed like every solenoid worked, could even hear the solenoids working. All the pressures seem to be good too. I also adjusted the bands with no luck. We checked the pressure test port on the drivers side too and it was good. I’m at a loss here. It’s gotta be something easy. But it has me so stumped
