I have them they're decent. I haven't heard higher quality speakers so I can't really say how good they are. They're better than stock. Sorry can't give anymore detail than that.

Best general way to get good sound is to match the RMS output of the head unit or amp to the RMS power of the speakers. Notice I say RMS and not peak. If you are way off (like a head unit that has 15 watts RMS and speakers that accept 100 watts rms), your sound can actually be worse than stock in some cases. You also want to consider the sensitivity of the speakers. THe quality and appearance of the speakers are secondary. I've had pioneers and liked them, but they lacked a bit in the midrange. THey were all bass and harsh highs...no balanced mids. Most full range speakers lack in the tweeters...soft dome tweets are better than ceramic or metal in most cases, and they usually cost more. Infinity are usually better than Pioneer or Sony for this reason. But, your preferences may differ.

thanks. that helps alot as far as general knowledge about speakers..but i think i will look into infinity's

eeeek You asked for opinions on speakers so here is mine.
Steer clear of INfinity or Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, Kenwood, and the like.

IMO they "color" the sound.
I prefer brands like Boston Acoustics, MTX, Rockford, and JBL for both subs and drivers......

Now I have friends who LOVE their infinitys and they do sound good, but for the $$$ IMO you can get a driver that will sound far better

the most important thing to do when picking speakers is match the RMS to the power you send them, in your case deck power, so you dont need super high powered speakers, you need speakers that can handle 50-60 RMS most likely. Underpowering a speaker is just as bad as over powering.

just because a speaker is a 4 way doesnt mean its going to sound better. If you plan on running off of the head unit power, alpine type S speakers would work great. If you want to run an amp, i highly suggest you look into a set of 6.5" components.
