Good Day Folks:
My name is John and I have a 2011 Explorer Limited 3.5L FWD with the factory tow package. I purchased it this past spring in Florida. Previously I had a 2006 Freestar and a 2000 Ranger prior to that. We are fortunate to be retired and able to spend our winters in Florida and our summers in Illinois with family and grandchildren. Judie and I decided that we may want to do some camping with a small travel trailer as we travel, so we bought the Explorer. I am currently researching small fiberglass trailers, weight distribution hitches, and brake controllers. It's a new world for me and I have a lot to learn.
Looking at some of the threads, it appears that many folks are interested in modifications and do-it-yourself projects. That's not where my interests are, but I'd be happy to contribute in other areas. Our interests include ham radio, acoustic folk and bluegrass music, photography, and fine art painting, both oil and pastels.
Thanks for allowing me to become part of the forum. I look forward to meeting you further down the log.
