Okay so Iam a new member and Iam looking to see what I can do off the bat to make the "rain/neer" As Iam gonna call it to move faster, driver smoother, get better gas mileage.... Please let me know any ideas or sugg. you all have, Glad to be aboard!

So Let me introduce myself in saying that my dream to own a explorer/mountaineer finnally came true today.

I know this sounds wierd to some of the Prius owners...especially with the gas being over 3 bucks a gallon, 3.25 in northern Cal.

But I have fantisized about owning this Mountaineer, I have had the 5.0 stangs and nothing but headaches, mainly because they were all stolen....

For the past year and a half Ive been AWOL from the Garage, with a sour taste in my mouth Nothing motivated me to go into there.

Well today is a new day I just bought a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer AWD V8 Maroon/ruby Fully loaded, Tan leather and every option, Iam the second owner, well I bought it from a dealership, but they didnt have it long.... it was on the back lot and they only had it for less than a week.

70k miles, new tires, service tags, Clean title, California Car. Fluids look great

I paid 7000k out the door with the 5 year drivetrain warranty.

no stains, minor blemishes all around shes great. I have alot of plans and Ive already started purchasing....

here's rudolph the red colored mountaineer at the dealership,
tomarrow I will have lots of pics....

Three words. Torque Monster Headers. I don't have them my self yet but everyone that does has nothing but good things to say about them.

He is an authorized vendor here.

Does anyone know how hard the TM are to install, cause I can wait untill I replace the engine which I plan too... a D.S.S. 331 short block in about 5 months... but could I install them in a weekend?

From what I've read they can be done in a weekend. Personaly I would wait until you drop the stroker in.
