Howdy all,
I just bought a 2010 Explorer XLT 4x2, V6, 2 row seating. I plan to spend 6-8 months on the road as I am retired. Will have a home base in southern AZ or back to Baja, to winter.
I spent close to 1 year checking out the 4Runners and road traveling & camping, but their frame rot and other maintenance issues and repair costs became too much for me. Found this XLT and it was a terrific deal, and its now in my garage. Now the fun job in discovering all the options for road camping.
