Hello, I have been lurking around for a while, and have taken some advice that I've seen posted here. We have a 2002 Explorer Eddie Bauer, and today I took it in to have the rear wheel bearings replaced, and while they were at it, since I knew the rear springs were broken, I had my guys put in new rear strut assemblies that I purchased at Prime Choice (CST100122 Complete Strut Assembly).

Well, I figured the front would be a little lower than the rear, but sheesh, it's like there's a 4" lift kit in there now. I measured from the ground to the wheel arches, and in the front I have 32 1/2", and in the rear, about 36".

Anyone know what the proper (factory) height should be? This looks ridiculous now! Granted I want to do the fronts, but I definitely DON'T want a 4" lift. This is the STOCK explorers forum!

Thanks for any help you can give me.

so anyway, could someone go out with a tape measure and give me the dimensions from the ground to the top of the wheel arch in their exploder? If someone could do that for me that would be great.

I just put on a set of Monroe quick struts on the back of mine. It was 32" before and 35" after, but there was a sticker right on the strut that said to give them time to settle.
