I'll put the same stereo I had in the old one in it. An old pioneer double din, a 10" sub in a stealth box and some components that were oem lincoln. Nothing to fancy but it sounds a lot better than stock. The speakers in this one are blown I think it sounds so muddy.

to put anything bigger in it would be to heavy, the current set up is heavy enough as it is. It sounds good and isn't obnoxious. That's the easy part though, the new one has 206k miles on it. So I'm going to swap all of my suspension, axles, etc. over to the new one. And pull the motor and trans to put in later, hopefully this winter. In the mean time this one will stay stock other than maybe my intake. And I'll start working on the motor out of the old one, probably a cam, and maybe a little work to the heads and intake.

I would have to equate it to seeing a pet put to sleep. I know I wouldn't be able to see my Mounty or Cougar getting crushed.

Dan made a comment about comparing it to putting a pet down. Having done that mere days after getting back from my Kansas/Wisconsin jaunt this summer, I can relate. That's why I had this morbid curiosity about watching those snuff vids (CFC) on Youtube. They left me with a sick feeling in my stomach despite the fact they weren't my trucks. I'd be choked to watch my EB meet the crusher.

At least you've got a replacement already. I look forward to to finished product some day.
