New Saleen acquisition

New acquisition - signed Saleen 302 Windsor 5.0 Liter Ford Engine Plaque

For years, I’ve been trying to acquire this engine plaque, signed by Steve Saleen. It was originally installed on Saleen XP8 Ford Explorer 00-0023 (2nd photo). This is the same donor vehicle many of the Saleen parts installed on Big White Ford Explorer came from.

I’ll now find someone to restore it while hopefully preserving Mr. Saleen’s signature and it will then be installed on Big White Ford Explorer.

Can’t you just clean it and clear coat it then install? Maybe coat with epoxy?
