New to the site

Just bought a 1980 F-250 ranger 4x4 with explorer trim. I paid $1200 for this truck. Body is straight and other than a cracked windsheild and the sun faded az interior it seems to be in good shape.. I have never had the 351 m motor before and was wondering are there any common problems that I should check out. Had a 1981 f-150 4x4 custom 300 straight 6 and never had any problems. Other than it wouldnt pull my trailer up a hill more than 5 or 10 mph. Im hoping that this truck will be great also. Any suggestions or input would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance

I think you would get a lot more advice if you joined an F Series website.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry for the confusion, but your F-250 Ranger/Explorer isn't related to the vehicles this forum is mainly geared towards. We deal with vehicles built on the compact Ford Ranger chassis and the Ford Explorer SUV.

That said, we may have some folks who are familiar with your truck, since some of our members have multiple vehicles, or have owned other trucks in the past.
