Okay guys here I go....BTW,I did lots of searches and they were helpful in troubleshooting some issues,I have a 1992 Explorer,4x4,4.0,5-speed,it has a 3" body lift with 33x12.50 tires on it,I just got the truck at a steal and I'm very new to Ford anything, well this is my first, but not my first project...
I had to put a starter on it to make it run so I didnt know if it run or if anything worked.....so The 4wd doesn't work..I did the check of the switch listed for the DB and the WLB wires and they would pass 12v when the switch was pressed...I hear no clicking/relay noise at all
:I have checked all fuses also that i could find(under hood and under dash)
:I have done the 4wd module check and the LED flashed 4 times
:I put 12v to the 4x4 shift motor wires at the 4x4 module and didnt hear any activation at all..
:so at that point I removed the shift motor and manually put the transfer case in 4 low to be sure that it worked at all,and it did..the hubs locked in and the 4wd worked perfect..so now I need to figure out the electrical issue Im having..
::my question is where the heck do I start now?will the motor being bad keep the relays from clicking or anything lighting up
::Thanks in advance for the help.....
