Why they call it the M trail

The reason why they call it the M trail is because people who try it are mentally unstable :D And if ya knows TANK... well... need I say more. Only playin with ya. I am just jealous that I will not be there to see this. As far as I know no one has ever completed the trail and not broken something. Could TANK be the first? Stay tuned.

whats going on the 26th???

whats happening the 26th?

re: the 26th

first EAGLE knows me FAR too well

yes THE M trail .... i know its crazy but i have to try it

i still have the second part of rattler(rated 9), the third part of wampum ( rated 8-9), the undertaker ( i belive that is a 10), and the M trail (off the scale)

this weekend i am buying a digital camera ( any sujestions ? ) ?????? so i will not come out of another run with no pictures!

on the 26th there will be a run to paragon with pa jeeps i dont have the details yet so i dont know how open they will be to other types of trucks, but i am getting the feeling that it is an open run.

the fee for non members is $35.00 per day + 5.00 per passenger .... it is well worth it...

it takes about 3 hrs from me in turnersville

the best place to stay is the red ridge lake campground .... it seems to be the staging area for all runs and events.

there are trails to accomodate any level of modification ...

for the best trails rated 8 and up you must have at least 33" meats 35" is better, and atleast one locker. if you dont meet those recomendations the trails under 8 rating will be plenty fun and challenging. i dont know how pa jeeps do their runs but other clubs will let you try a trail with any safe vehicle even a stocker ....of course at your own risk !

i have found that the runs are MUCH different than the EVENTS ..... at ohv we had to be out of the park by 5:00 ...at this last run with b4w they didnt leave the park till 9:00 .... so you have alot more freedom ..... if there is any way you can swing it dont miss the opportunity to do paragon .... i will keep you posted as i get details

Tank

Tank, I'm down here in annapolis, and my truck will still be stock if I go. If it isnt a club thing I would be interested in comming to see what its like, thanks and keep me posted

my first real fourwheeling experience

Well I want to thank Jim (J91FORD) for my first fourwheeling experience... My kids had a blast and can't wait to go again... I still have alot to do on my truck but it didn't do too bad. I have to say if it wasn't for Jim I would probably be stuck in the ruts :) Thanks for your patience and guidance Jim.

Hey Karol, glad you enjoyed it. I'm sorry that I couldn't make it but I just couldn't get everything together for the weekend. It's fun, isn't it?

Karol, No problem anytime. That was a good day of wheeling. (well any day is a good day of wheeling) Maybe we will hit the harder trails next time :D

Tom,
sorry you could not make it but I think i found a good place to go. It is called Central Park In central Pa It would be a little bit closer to you. i have never herd of it untill now and we are going there sometime in september not sure of the excact date but i will check we do want to keep it small but you are more then welcome to come along if you dont mind going with a couple jeeps.

thanks, Jim. Depending on which weekend in Sept, I might be able to make it. I'm working roughly every other weekend.

Glad to hear you had fun yesterday.

When you first said central park, I was thinking about NYC. :) Now that would surprise a few people.

Central PA would be good. What town is it near?

Central Park

Well I have the fever now...oh no... OK Jim when ya going to Central Park? I have a couple of weekends in Sept off (believe it or not) and the kids have been buggin to go again... they said they really had a good time :) so.. if it's the 9th and 10th or 23rd and 24th I can make it... I'll even bring the mascot (my dog Maggie).. I may not be able to do everything you guys do but at least I can watch and learn..

btw..I got my pics back Jim... you know how kids are with cameras... most of mine didn't come out great because of lack of quality of the camera and my daughter with her "inside the truck" shots.

Hey, ya'll. 9th or 10th would be good to go for me. I'm flying down to Florida for a few days later in the month so that's out, unfortunately. I'd rather be on a trail. Well, not really, I'm going down to visit my sisters so that's cool. Let me know!

ouch !

well guys .... i did pick your poison this weekend ... was originaly the 3rd part of wampum it is the toughest trail i have been on ... i got to the very end 10' from the road and had one big rock to crawl over and my drive shaft twisted like a rag .... tore a hole in the shroud over my flywheel and bent some of the tranny linkages .... i had one wheel off the ground so it was a good place to get in there and turn the tank into the only 2 wheel drive hummer in the world .... we dropped the drive shaft, bent the torn shroud back away from the flywheel and hooked her up for a good winching.... it took 2 jeeps with 8000lb winches ...then 2 jeeps strapped to them for extra weight to get me out ... there was a crowd of at least 60 people watching the fun ..... im going to make a new thread for a paragon run ...there is one the weekend of the 29th .... i will post a version of this trail report there ..... keep in touch ...i need to find someone to make a beefier drive shaft ....adios !

who said hummers were bulletprof...
Take them to paragon and they might change thier mind

Them wasn't bullets, them was boulders. :)

twin bridges!! near Styers

Jim if you can get ahold of last Sundays Bucks Courier Times read the article about the peeps that own the land we were most likely wheeling on last Friday.. What gave me the hint that it was their land? Well they say it was adjacent to Styer Orchards ... and it has lots of steep inclines... Let's just hope Middletown township gets it so they can perserve it for open space. I hope I'm wrong about this but I think that its a little too close. These people want to zone it "light industrial" and make a small industrial park out of it.
