OKay, I have read all the tech on the electric motor on the trans case....I did as I was told and YES! I now have 4H.....Problem...No 4L. I have had it in neutral, had it 4H, stopped and still nothing. I suspect a speed sensor or neutral saftey switch but have no idea how to check these. I have however made sure they are all contected. Also, I tried another control switch and still nothing.....Ideas??

Try backing up a few feet then put it back in Neutral and push your low 4 button. Mine makes a nice loud klunk noise, but it goes in. I have to do this same thing for my explorer. hope it works.

No 4 Low...

Yea, on most older model 4X4s you have to stop, engage the 4 low, back up till you hear the trusty clunck, and CRAWL BABY. You also have to do the same to disengage the 4 low. Have Fun. :D
