I have 2 Explorers . 03 and 05. Yesterday 03, v6 just shut off. Did a compression test, no compression in any cylinders and 2 mangled spark plugs. Owned since new, well cared for with 140 k on it. Any ideas? Main timing chain jump? No noises or anything to indicate a problem before it shut off! Anyone experience this?

Start shopping for a new engine
Cost around 2500 for a new remanufactured engine
Sorry

only way to get 0 compression is if all the valves are open or broken = timing not jumped, timing broke
Remove oil cap and with flashlight have a look see at drivers tensioner, chain still there?
