No more heat shields

Well, I believe I’ve officially lost all my heat shields. The first one missing, is not pictured. I’m glad I was able to remove them before they came off while driving. It’s amazing the holding power of that one last weld.

Hahahaha maybe the last ones holding on in the country! Most fell off long ago


Did you get the top ones off? Or leave them… the top ones actually have protect heat from the floor… bottom ones only collect crap and fall off

Well, I went back under the look and decided to slide the upper muffler heat shield off as well. Looks like there was a pipe shield that dropped off sometime ago. Hopefully nobody got their car damaged driving behind me.

I remember the heat shield on my '96 Aerostar was making rattling noise so I removed it, no more noise.
