Usually-in my experience-
the install of a shift kit involves drilling a few holes larger in the separator plate. along with different rate accumulator valve springs. It will be a challenge to "undo".
You are probably better off trying to trade for a stock transmission IMO
You might just find a taker here on the forum!

Or a stock valve body.

Shift kits generally add life to the trnasmission as they don't slip into gear like a stock trans. That's why the shift is harsher.

With an A4LD you need all the help you can get.

He'd need a stock separator plate also=hard to get.

i was afraid of the larger holes. i read about that in one post before. so i might be better off with the swap. not were i wanted to go but if i want stock o guess thats abouit the only way to go huh. :)

I love my shift kit in my B2. But I'm with you about having one in the family ride. I can just see my kids and wife wearing a big chocolate milk shake or whatever drink all over their face when it shifts if they were trying to get a drink at that unopportune time LOL.
