NO oil pressure...

I belive it a bad pressure switch sometimes it work sometime it don't... full of oil motor is quiet (78,000) miles
on it this is freaking the wife out driving with no oil pressure (gage) how much and where are they located on the sohc motors????

If she was out driving around with it saying no pressure on the gauge and it's okay then it sounds like the gauge just isn't working which is a common problem. The connection is probably just corroded. The sensor in under the power steering pump, kind of tucked up in there a little bit.
 






You can replace that sucker with a mechanical gage if you want to know what is really happening.
 






Search for "fake oil pressure" gauge. The gauge you have is an analog idiot light.. shows pressure with 5psi or more.. You can change the sender, and short out 1 resistor on the back of the cluster to get it to work like a real pressure gauge..

well it her ride I dont trust many "electrical" guages my truck all have mechanical ones..... yeah I'll check the conection
