The new 4.6 is acting up! This thing has had a little bit of troube! New emblems(took over a year to get them), new rear wiper motor, new sway bar bushings, rusting shock mounts on rear window("not fixable under warranty at this time") and now it has no oil pressure. I know the guage is a dummy light, but when theres no pressure, it reads no pressure. We assume it to be the sending unit b/c my parents drove it home from a place about an hour away(stupid if you ask me) but its making no noise, so it would have to be the sending unit. Has anyone else had any trouble?

My '01 had a bad sending unit that was replaced under warranty. Mine wouldn't read any pressure when it was VERY cold out. Sounds like it's back to Ford for more warranty work

Thats what we figure too, they ran it all day, and if its a bad pump, it wouldn't have lasted a half mile. He's thinking about screwing Ford and putting a real gauge in. O what fun, the Explorer expertise around the house will prolly have to tackle this one.

Will that gauge pod that Black Magic fit over the steering column of a '02?
