No towing wire?

No towing wire? (Please ignore this massage)

Hello

I have a 97 Explorer XLT, I looked for the tow wire, but I didn't find it, my dads 96 Explorer had it, is it possible for it not to have the wire? or is it somewhere that I can't see it? Don't all explorers come with the wire?

I know my '96 and '98 have the harnesses on opposite sides.

I don't think every Explorer came with them though. But I'm not sure.

I opened my passenger light to see if its in there, but it wasn't. I'm thinking that it does not come with one.

I would like to add one, is there any adapter/plugs that connect to my back lights?

What is the best way of adding one?
