When I tilt the steering wheel down to a comfortable postion the signals nor the brake lights work and I hear a clicking or popping noise. When it's in the highest postion it works just fine.
I've been told it's the multi ###tion switch/sensor(?) and that it's somewhere near the master cylinder. Can anyone confirm this or had this happen to them?

If I am correct the multifunction switch is the switch you actually push up or down to turn your turn signal on, wipers and also you hazard lights. One of our F350's needs it replaced

Yup. Its the wires from the switch. Even happens/happened to me in a full size '96 Bronco. Tilting the wheel actually breaks the little tabs that hold the individual wire spades in the larger connector and the single wires pull away from the connection.

I just realized I mispelled function, leaving out the letter "n" and got cencored....funny huh?:D Thanks ncranchero and all.
If I have to purchase the pigtail replacement is it longer than the original as to give more slack? I'm guessing it's not burnt or broken since it still works when tilt is all the way up. I will try pulling the harness and zip tie it in place this weekend when it warms up.
